Tequila tales - Day Uno

Upon arriving in Sayulita after a relatively easy flight and effortless journey through Puerto Vallarta Immigration and Customs, we made our way down the beach to Terrrazola, a place I remembered from 2007 for the crack-like pumpkin seed salsa they served. Well, they no longer have it, but they did have a killer margarita with fresh lime juice and very little sugar...

So good, I had to have two. I'd been up since 3 a.m., after all. Then, it was back to the hotel for a long siesta. Showered and dressed, we went downstairs to the hotel bar ...

where we had two specialty margaritas: grapefruit habanero and orange ginger.....

The first was rimmed with a mixture of salt and Tajin. The second with sugar and cinnamon. We decided, right then and there, that we were smart to have bought tickets to the margarita contest, featuring the town's best bartenders, tomorrow night at the Sayulita Public House.

Bring on Day Dos! Adios for now....
