We need boomer support groups!

A close friend of mine is going through this with her ailing mother. She joined a caregivers support group but said all the members of the group were very elderly spouses and she almost felt compelled to help them out, too!!

Hey, we not only need support groups, but we need to learn from this experience and make changes so that it doesn't happen to us and our potential caregivers. Care is one thing; negotiating the care facilities is another; managing and anticipating financial is a third; dealing with the emotions is yet another; stretching the clock to 26 hours a day is one to wish for; protecting our future generations from all of this is yet another....
