Rhonda Burgess Rhonda Burgess

I moved to Lawrence a little over a year ago and became a stay at home mom for the first time ever. My sister also lives in Lawrence and we decided that we wanted to start a fun business making something that we really enjoyed. We looked around Lawrence and everywhere we looked we saw people and their dogs. So, we started making dog beds. Our dog bed business evolved into all kinds of useful things for the dog lover. Now we make fleece scarves, reversible bandanas, crate mats, coats, sparkle holiday collars and our signature Poo Pouches that attach to your leash and hold the plastic bags when you take your dog out for a walk.

Cindy Lemke Cindy Lemke

My name is Cindy Lemke, 57 years young, and have lived in Lawrence, Kan., for 10 years. Two years ago I decided I needed an outlet away from my job as an outside sales representative, one that would feed and satisfy my creative outlet and took up knitting. I decided to hand knit these chenille baby sweaters (one of a kind) and possibly sell them too. A childrens boutique here in Lawrence has sold a few and I have requests from other baby boutiques as well as friends and colleagues.
