Ephron's latest feels like chatting with a friend

You know how you worry that too many conversations with friends have too much to do with cosmetic or medical problems?

You pretend for each others' sake that you have something else to discuss. You make your friends promise to just shoot you if you continue in this vein.

"I Feel Bad About My Neck" by Nora Ephron

But it's still in there — getting all bottled up.

I have just the thing for you: Nora Ephron's new book, "I Feel Bad About My Neck."

The same woman who brought you "When Harry Met Sally" and "Sleepless in Seattle" is just the friend you've been looking for. You can take her home and the two of your can have a guilt-free evening of wallowing in your problems and laugh until you cry, which, if you admit it, is all you've been wanting to do for a long time anyway if only someone would just let you.

She occasionally writes about something other than health problems, and as you might imagine, that's always funny too. Really funny.
