I stored my Neti pot away when spring brought a welcomed dose of humidity to the dry winter air. But climbing grass pollen counts have convinced me to break out my little white nasal irrigation system again, and I recommend it to all my fellow allergy sufferers.
My first experience with the Neti was both nose and eye-opening, but I was quickly hooked on what seemed to be the perfect solution (saline solution, that is - don't forget to salt your water!) for my dry sinus problems. I'm finding the same relief for my seasonal allergies which, for some reason, waited until July this year to rear their ugly heads.
There are lots of how-to Neti pot videos on YouTube, just search "Neti Pot" and you'll see how it's done (caution: don't take your instructions from the crazy guy who pours whiskey through his nostrils!) Neti pots can be purchased at health food stores and most pharmacies and cost around $10 - 18. Worth every penny.
Here's a story we ran on BoomerGirl back in February with more info.

Amen! I live in Florida, where it's always humid, but I find that in addition to moisture it also cleans everything out. I do it at the end of they day to clear out all the allergens and pollutants from they day!

Another good idea is to wash your hair every night before you go to bed. Pollen stickes easily to the products we put in our hair and it can come off on your pillow case and rub in your eyes and nose from there.
