On our Ozark Mountain daredevil wedding trip last weekend, I treated myself to the cheapest spa treatment I could find (a brow wax for 30 bucks), just so I could hang out at the luxurious spa at Chateau on the Lake in Branson, Missouri. After my brow job, I retreated to the Relaxation Room where I enjoyed several glasses of cucumber water while zoning out to Enya.
It was so delicious, I decided to make a big batch of it today with some English cucumbers I had on hand. I've been vigilant about getting my eight glasses a day in, and this will undoubtedly further the cause. I suppose you could try it on a glass-by-glass basis, but this seemed fancier and more convenient.
Unfortunately, the day I have planned doesn't include much relaxing - and certainly no spa treatments - but every time I take a break with my fancy cucumber water, maybe I can channel Enya and pretend I'm out of town.
