OK, so I'm not a weekly lottery player. I just pick them up, on occasion, if I happen to be in a gas station buying one of those obscenely large Diet Cokes.
But, apparently, I played last Saturday....and won!! All of three dollars. But, here's the thing: I had FORGOTTEN I had played until I found the ticket on my bathroom floor this morning (must've fallen out of my jeans' pocket) and, thus, almost missed out on the rewards of picking the "Powerball" number.
"Cup half-full" take: I won three bucks. Great! Now I can buy three more lottery tickets without guilt!
"Cup half-empty" spin: What kind of a fortune have I squandered by misplacing all of those lottery tickets in the past?? I could be livin' large in the South of France by now!
