The Perils of Packing

When I first flew to Europe, suitcases could weigh 70+ lbs. and you could bring two PLUS a hefty carry-on. Now you get one checked suitcase (or pay a second bag surcharge) and it has to weigh under 50 lbs. (or pay an overweight surcharge.) Lost or temporarily lost baggage is at an all-time high and next-day delivery is wishful thinking.

Welcome to the new and improved BoomerGirl.com! We've been nipping and tucking for weeks to create a site that looks AND feels fresher, besides being easier, up-to-date and more fun to use.

BoomerGirl's new "bloggy" format allows you to catch up on new content quickly and effortlessly. Our topic areas have expanded to include breaking news, current events, pop culture, nostalgia and other topics relevant to the lives of boomer-aged women. I'll be scanning the Web every day for news and information you can use, so you don't have to!

You'll notice our bloggers and contributors are still playing an important role on the site and, now, you can blog, too! Just click on the community blogs area on the right hand side below and start blogging away. Your friends and family will be so impressed!
