They called them the Vamps and his 1965 issue of Playgirl (not THAT Playgirl) assured its readers that men WOULD make passes at girls who wore these glasses.
Funny how everything old is new again, isn't it? Don't throw away your glasses, girls. Some day, your daughters will be dying to wear them.

I just bought a pair of cat eye glasses exactly like these. My optometrist said that wearing them would give me an instant facelift, and they do!
