Dr. Love was all over the airwaves yesterday and last night promoting her "Army of Women" campaign. I was inspired and encouraged when she told NBC Nightly News' Brian Williams, "we will see the end of breast cancer in my lifetime." (Watch the entire interview below.)
The ground-breaking campaign seeks one million women - both breast cancer survivors and women without breast cancer - who will volunteer to participate in various research projects with the ultimate goal of figuring out what causes the insidious disease before it starts.
It's easy as pie to sign up. I did it, and it took less than five minutes. Go to www.ArmyofWomen.org to get started. Imagine the sense of pride you'll have knowing you helped stopped breast cancer with a million of your sisters!
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You HAVE had a mammogram in the last 12 months, right? If not, get on the phone today and get it done! I don't want to nag but this isn't something you mess around with.
