On turning 50 and just not caring

Here's a little nugget of gold from Doreen Orion on The Huffington Post today. There is a glaring typo in the headline (my pet peeve), but "Women's Lib - Boomer Sylte (or Style)" is worth a read.

Orion's essay - completely non-partisan, you'll be pleased to know - describes the casting of concern as one approaches the big 5-0. I admit, the milestone for me is a couple years passed, but I remember that "who gives a _____?" feeling like it was yesterday.

These days, I've started to care again about appearances and jean sizes, but that blasted "no alcohol" on the Atkins diet still gives me fits.
