After a long and exhaustive search, I finally found the perfect pair of black knee-high boots. They were "Born" to be on my feet.
I had no idea how many variations on the black boot theme there were in this world! So many details, so many choices! Zip or no zip? Buckle or not buckle? Pointy toe, square or round? And don't even mention the heels - kitten, stiletto, chunky, wedge? It was a nightmare, I tell you! But I persisted in my quest with patience, because boots are an investment and it's important to get the most versatile pair you can find.
Eureka! I found what I wanted in this "Bullock" style by Born. The zip-up design can be dressed up and dressed down, and has a 2-3/4" heel I can actually walk on. If Wall Street wasn't in such dismal shape, I'd buy another pair in brown. (Well, maybe I'll wait to see what the market does today...)
