Alice Lieberman is Professor, School of Social Welfare, at the University of Kansas, in Lawrence, KS. It goes without saying that she speaks for herself, and not for her employer! As a graduate of both the University of Texas-Austin, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she has a lot of experience living in a deep blue community in a purple-y red state. When she is not teaching or blogging, she reads, and breathes, Democratic (decidedly left-of-center) politics: she was Chair of the local county Democratic party, and has been a fundraiser for state and local Democratic candidates.
