I have "divorced" several hairstylists over the years. It seems I find people who really want to impress me at first, then they become sort of lazy or maybe too used to my hair and comfortable with me personaly to do a good job. The chattier they are, the less they seem to pay attention to what their doing. Maybe that's the problem.
There seems to be so much bling on women these days, it's hard not to be blinded. Sequined purses, sparkly scarves, enormous rings, metallic belts. Even glitter on faces. What ever happened to understated elegance?
I can't relate to your story but I can imagine it being quite frustrating. My hair or "look" has nver been controversial but I believe everyone needs to be true to themselves in the workplace and in their personal lives. Thanks.
Tom Brokaw admitted smoking pot? How refreshing! That's something I could nevr get past with Bill Clinton. Who doesn't inhale?? Wasno't inhaling the whole point?
I was a Peter Jennings fan, although I do admire Brokaw.
Once my mother caught on to the idea of how gift cards work, she LOVEs recieving them! We get them to her grocery store where her pharmacy is, as well as some of her favorite restaurants. The bus at her retirement center takes her and she doesn't have to worry about carrying cash which always makes her worry.
My friends know that my living alone isn't a horrible, pathetic and lonely scenario. I wish someone would convince my mother, though. She calls it the "worry of her life" that I am alone and without a man. MOm! Get real!!

Things like that happen to me all the time, except for the large sums of money part. The universe does deliver when one least expects it.
