great story. we just had our first sustainability town hall meeting in lawrence and, of the many things taken from it, it became clear that the biggest hurdle is education and conditioning. we need to make it cool to live a sustainable lifestyle, and we have to start early by teaching our children (and other adults). farmer's markets, community gardens, organic co-ops, in-season shopping. it's all easy to do, it's healthier, and it's sustainable. but we have to convince people that they don't need strawberries in january. and that's the hard part.
