Lorrie Browne serves the high-end residential world by creating interior designs that mirror the mood, personality and focus of her clients. Based in South Florida, Lorrie Browne Interiors, Inc. has a reputation for exceeding client expectations and creating homes where the residents live in comfort and entertain with pride. Educated in finance, Lorrie earned her MBA and worked as a financial analyst in California’s trendy San Francisco. Bored with the long hours and tedious work of crunching numbers, Lorrie’s weekends were personal retreats to the fine museums and historic architecture of the city. Always the creative, she scoured the street fairs and flea markets for just the right treasures and classic pieces to decorate her own apartment near Golden Gate Park.
Inspired by passion, Lorrie left the spectacular vistas and sophisticated palates of San Francisco for a new life and vision in Ft. Lauderdale in 1994. She graduated with her BS in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. Lorrie’s career blossomed during her studies under some intense mentoring with seasoned designers. She started Lorrie Browne Interiors in 1996. Licensed as an interior designer in the state of Florida, and a member of The American Society of Interior Designers , Lorrie has established herself as a professional in her field and a businessperson in her own right.
A specialist in challenging projects, Lorrie provides high quality interior design while creating pleasurable experiences for her clients. From 1998-2007 she focused on high-end properties in new construction, major renovations, grand estate homes, and unique studio apartments. Lorrie’s imagination and practical attention to details, time-lines and budgets, have kept her talents in demand.
Lorrie’s friends and family began to ask for help on their own home design projects. They didn’t need a professional to do it for them; they needed an expert to help when they got “stuck” in the process. Lorrie was determined to find a way to assist the people who love a well-designed home environment, and enjoy the process of doing it themselves. In 2008, My Design Secrets was launched. Today Lorrie works with her exclusive clients on major projects, but she has found a new way to express her creative passion by assisting people to work within their own budget and design unique and comfortable homes with confidence.
Married to her best pal and business partner, Lorrie shares her home with Tim and their dog Emma; where they live with flourishing gardens, not enough bookshelves, biodegradable dish soap, a yoga mat, and the enticing scent of chocolate chip cookies wafting in the kitchen.
