I got my first ticket in 12 years last month. I was rushing to work and got pulled over right in the town where I teach. As soon as I saw the flashing lights my palms got sweaty and my foot started shaking on the pedal. To make it even worse, in my panic, I threw my gum wrapper out the window. I got a $75 speeding ticket and a $230 littering ticket too! My 21 year old son thought this was a riot. I will not live this one down since I am always all over him about his driving.
