I am a Master Gardener and I am often asked how to "get rid of Moles?" I always respond by using the info you have provided about what moles do for our gardens and lawns. I polled several gardeners who had moles and over a three year period the mole increased the quality of the lawn. Uness you have a huge amount of tunneling in your yard (which can be risky with running dogs and children) the mole should be left. It will never eat all of the earthworms (thank goodness) but it can get all of the white grubs from your lawn :) The areation of the undersoil can be wonderful and especially in clay areas that can really reduce the packing of the soil. MY philosophy- Love your mole :)- and remember, it won't give you a bad date and never lies about who it is. Happy Gardening.
